How the learning works
The child sets the time on their own. The hands move like in a real clock, and everything that changes is visible right away. That is how trying things out turns into understanding.
1Understanding by turning
When the child turns the minute hand, the hour hand moves along, just like on a real clock. The digital display and the time in words update live. Colors link hours and minutes everywhere.
2Letting go is the answer
Trying things out is allowed; the answer is only checked when the child lets go. A wrong try just brings a friendly hint. After a few tries, a helper shows the right hands faintly.
3Less help, step by step
A map leads from the learning clock with its minute ring to a clock with no numbers at all, and from full hours via half and quarter hours to minutes and seconds.
4Revision on the side
Things already learned come back in between. Times that are not yet right the first time come up more often. There is no time limit.
Collecting makes you want more
Every square of the map holds a dinosaur egg. Each correct answer cracks it further, first-try answers even more. Then a dinosaur hatches with its own prehistoric world.
Which dinosaur hatches stays a surprise. Every hatched dinosaur opens new squares, and whatever has hatched stays.
